Masterplanning the Event
The logo of a blue stag was adopted for masterplanning the event.
Yet the General Coordinator of Luxembourg and Greater Region European Capital of Culture 2007, Robert Garcia, didn't only confine the 500 incoming projects to tourist slogans and general themes.
On one hand, the logo was meant to distract visitors to think of Luxembourg as the ''forestry department, tax haven, white wine and plum liquor'' to a world of ''dreams and imagination''.
On the other hand, it was used as a place marker on the maps.
With regards to architecture and urbanism, Luxembourg focused on building or completing a range of national cultural and infrastructural projects and the landmark buildings Rotunda I + II, explained in the following pages (cf. page 27).
