ANOUK AHLBORN

AA Dipl. ARB RIBA

Anouk Ahlborn (Luxembourg, 1990) is an architect based in London.

She studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture where she obtained her AA Diploma along with the ARB/RIBA Part II examination in 2016.
She completed the ARB-RIBA Part III examination (Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice Architecture) at the University of Westminster in 2019.

During her studies she worked among others for Arquitectonica in Miami, the National Heritage in Luxembourg and Cullinan Studio in London.
She is currently practicing at Hopkins Architects in London, where she is working on a construction management project in the City of Westminster.

Her early projects relate to her interdisciplinary work experiences in the fields of architecture, art and crafts in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and in Luxembourg.
The portfolio on this website is as much a retrospective, with the past disappearing in the rear view mirror, as it is a reminder to continue working on multiple projects.

Anouk is interested in the various formats through which we speak about and design architecture both as an individual and collective social practice.
Her final year design thesis proposed an itinerant department for architecture and urbanism for the European Capital of Culture festival in Luxembourg in 2022.
The project takes an optimistic stance toward the reconstruction of European cities.

She is currently revisiting some of the ideas of her thesis for a series of workshops.

She is always open to be contacted for collaborations.
