FORMAT FACTORY - Paperless Utopia : managing resources
Storyboarding
The storyboard is used as projective tool to organise lines of thought which differs from the synthetic nature of the format of the Atlas. Through storyboarding, the architect can leave enough room for interpretation, yet keep elaborating certain ideas. The process of reconnecting and remembering fragmented ideas produces built and unbuilt spatialities.
Although the constant editing and reformatting of the questions give the possibility of taking decisions throughout the entire process, they produce an excessive amount of paper.
The idea of the paperless studio turns out to be an utopia.
