ERASED CITY - The Void : the space between two opposites
The case study of the architectural precedent of the 'Kolumba Museum, Cologne' and the modelling of the excavation hall have helped to explore the concepts of the ruin and the void at an architectural scale. In order to further understand the more philosophical readings of the void, I did a pictorial analysis of Michelangelo's 'The Virgin and Child with Saint John and Angels, also called 'The Manchester Madonna', an unfinished painting dating back to approximately 1497.
